Working with the USD/CZK series
The koruna's reference regime break is the Czech National Bank's 2013-2017 floor against the euro — and although the cap was defined on EUR/CZK, it disciplined this pair too, via the euro leg. This dollar series starts January 2016, inside the floor's final stretch, so its opening year mixes policy-pinned koruna behaviour with ordinary EUR/USD noise. After April 2017's float, the koruna became one of central Europe's higher-yielding, more freely-moving currencies; statistics spanning the exit mix two different animals.
