Download the MarketData Hub Client
One app, three platforms. It runs entirely on your machine, connects straight to the data source, and writes files to your disk — nothing about what you fetch reaches us.
Builds
| Windows | Portable (.exe) · installer (.exe) · zip — x64 and Arm64 Windows 10 or later |
|---|---|
| macOS | Disk image (.dmg) · zip — Apple silicon and Intel macOS 11 Big Sur or later |
| Linux | AppImage — x64 and Arm64 · .deb — x64 Any glibc-based distribution (Ubuntu 22.04+ tested) |
Binaries are hosted on GitHub Releases, and the app's built-in updater checks the same place.
Release details
| Current version | 0.1.0 |
|---|---|
| Checksums | SHA-256 sums are published alongside the binaries, so you can verify a build before running it. |
| Changelog | Release notes on GitHub |
| Updates | Built-in updater; new versions are picked up automatically. |
| Licence | €5.60 one-time for the entry tier — the app is inert until one is activated. All three tiers. |
System requirements
- Windows: Windows 10 or later
- macOS: macOS 11 Big Sur or later
- Linux: Any glibc-based distribution (Ubuntu 22.04+ tested)
- Disk space for whatever you retrieve — tick histories run to many gigabytes.
- An internet connection for the direct link to the data source. Nothing else phones home during a run.
First run
Builds are not yet code-signed or notarised, so the first launch needs one extra confirmation:
- Windows: The portable build needs no install at all — just run it. Prefer a Start-menu entry? The installer is on the release page; no administrator needed, it installs for your user only.
- macOS: Open the .dmg and drag MarketData Hub into Applications, then use the steps below.
- Linux: chmod +x the AppImage and run it, or install the .deb with apt.
Then: sign in to activate your licence, choose a destination folder, pick an instrument, a date range and a timeframe, and run it. Without an active licence the app can't retrieve anything, so buy one first — and the picker on the home page is the same interface, so you can rehearse the whole flow before installing or buying anything.
Activation is once per computer and needs an internet connection; after that the app works entirely offline, including on a machine that never sees the internet again. Move to a different computer and you sign in once more — there is no limit on how many of your own machines you activate.
What you can fetch
All 265+ instruments across forex, crypto, indices, commodities, bonds, ETFs and shares, every timeframe from ticks to monthly candles, over the entire history the source holds. Every licence tier reaches all of it — the three tiers differ by export formats, bulk queueing and automation, and none of them limits how many of your machines you activate.
