Working with the Coffee Arabica series
Arabica is the frost-and-drought market: Brazil's July 2021 frost added roughly 70% to prices within months, and 2024's drought pushed records again. Note the quoting unit — the USX suffix means US cents, in this case per pound, so a printed "250" is $2.50/lb; unit confusion here breaks P&L arithmetic silently. Continuous-CFD roll effects apply, and seasonality (harvest cycles) is real signal, not noise to be filtered.
